Mục tiêu:
- Học sinh nắm vững các khái niệm, kiến thức cơ bản về môn toán học để chuẩn bị bước vào chương trình của lớp 7.
- Học sinh phát triển kĩ năng tư duy số học và hình học, tư duy logic...
Yêu cầu hoàn thành khóa học:
- Chương trình học gồm 10 nội dung học, và một bài kiểm tra cuối kỳ
- Trong toàn bộ chương trình học, học sinh sẽ phải làm đủ bài giao về nhà bao gồm học online (đối với IXL hoàn thành các bài tập với số điểm từ >90), bài tập worksheet, hoàn thành bài kiểm tra cuối kỳ.
Tiêu chuẩn đánh giá mức độ hoàn thành:
- Học sinh hoàn thành tối thiểu 70% lượng bài tập về nhà.
- Học sinh hoàn thành bài kiểm tra cuối kỳ với kết quả từ 70% trở lên.
Lịch trình khóa học:
- Chapter 1: How to use powers and exponents. Finding squares of numbers and square roots of perfect squares. Evaluating expressions using the order of operations. Evaluating simple algebraic expressions. Writing and solving equations using mental maths. Using Commutative, Associative, Indentity and Distributive properties to solve problems. Describing the relationships and extend terms in arithmetic sequences. Making fuction tables and writing equations.
- Chapter 2: Reading and writing integers, and finding the absolute value of a number. Comparing and ordering integers. Graphing a point on a coordinate plane. Addding integers. Writing verbal phrases and sentences as simple algebraic expressions and equations; and solving addition and subtraction equations. Solving multiplication equations and two-step equations. Finding the perimeters and areas of figures. Graphing data to demonstrate relationship.
- Chapter 3:Finding the prime factorization of a composite number. Finding the greatest common factor of two or more numbers. Writing fractions in simplest form. Writing fractions as terminating or repeating decimals and writing decimals as fractions. Writing fractions as percents and percents as fractions. Writing percents as decimals and decimals as percents. Finding the least common multiple of two or more numbers. Comparing and ordering fractions, decimals and percents.
- Chapter 4: Estimating sums, differences, products, and quotients of fractions and mixed numbers.
Adding and subtracting fractions. Adding and subtracting mixed numbers. Multiplying fractions and mixed numbers. Solving equations with rational number solutions. Dividing fractions and mixed numbers.
- Chapter 5: Writing ratios as fractions in simplest form and determine whether two ratios are equivalent. Determining unit rates. Changing units in the customary system. Changing metric units of lengths, capacity, and mass. Solving proportions. Solving problems involving scale drawings.
- Chapter 6:Finding the percent of a number. Solving problem using the percent proportion. Estimating percents by using fractions and decimals. Solving problems by using the percent equation.
On finding the percent of increase or decrease. Solving problems involving sales tax discount.
Solving problems involving simple interest.
- Chapter 7: Displaying and analyzing data using a line plot. Describing a set of data using mean, median, mode and range. Displaying and analyzing data in a stem-and-leaf plot. Displaying and analyzing data using bar graphs and histograms. Analyzing line graphs and scatter plots to make predictions and conclusion. Predicting actions of a larger group by using a sample. Recognizing when statistics and graphs are misleading.
- Chapter 8: Finding the probability of a simple event. Finding sample spaces and probabilities.
Using multiplication to count outcomes and find probabilities. Finding the number of permutations of a set of objects and finding probabilities. Finding and comparing experimental and theoretical probabilities. Doing the probability lab: Simulations. Investigate experimental probability by conducting a simulation. Finding the probability of independent and dependent events.
- Chapter 9: Classifying angles and identifying vertical and adjacent angles.
Identifying complementary and supplementary angles and findin missing angle measures.
Identifying and classifying triangles. Identifying and classifying quadrilaterals.
Determining whether figures are similar and finding a missing length in a pair of similar figures. Classifying polygons and determining which polygons can form a tessellation. Graphing translations of polygons on a coordinate plane. Identifying figures with line symmetry and graphing reflections on a coordinate plane.
- Chapter 10: Finding the areas of parallelograms, triangles and trapezoids. Finding the circumference of circles. Finding the areas of circles. Finding the areas of complex figures. Building and drawing three-dimensional figures given the top, side, and front views. Finding the volumes of rectangular and triangular prisms. Finding the volumes of cylinders.
Final exam.
